About Ian

Hey! My name is Ian MK Cessna. I've been in the video world for the majority of my life, pursuing a passion for moving pictures since I was 14 years old. My specialties are in Art Direction, Design, Illustration, and Animation.

I live in New Orleans with my two dogs, two cats, and one wonderful wife. In my spare time, I enjoy performing sketch/improv comedy, playing video games, and watching the worst movies I can find.

If you’re curious, MK stands for Makaiwa Kealoha. In Hawaiian, it means: “Like the eye of the black seagull, so is our love.” Everyone on the Hawaiian side of my family is given a long middle name, passed down from an elder.

In 2006 my parents gave me a DV camcorder and I started making stop motion animations with my dry erase board. It was shortly after that I found After Effects and well… here we are. Hope you enjoy this little look back.
